What is Breast Lifting without Implants?

A breast lift procedure is primarily intended to address various concerns such as excess skin, nipple-areolar complex positioning, and the reshaping of natural breast tissue. This approach ensures the maximum possible breast volume is retained by repositioning the breasts on the chest wall.
Unlike traditional breast lift techniques that may result in a flatter appearance and smaller breasts with minimal shape, mastopexy without implants is designed for the most optimal results.

Why Choose Breast Lifting without Implants?

  • Natural Appearance: Without the use of implants, the results offer a natural look and feel, retaining your original breast tissue.
  • No Foreign Objects: There are no implants involved, so there is no risk of complications like implant rupture or capsular contracture, where scar tissue forms around the implant.
  • Improved Aesthetics: The procedure enhances the overall shape and contour of the breasts, raising sagging breasts and repositioning the nipple and areola.
  • Restores Youthful Shape: Aging, weight fluctuations, and childbirth can lead to sagging breasts. A lift rejuvenates your appearance by restoring the breasts to a more youthful shape.

The Breast Lifting without Implants Procedure

  1. Consultation: During the first visit, your surgeon will discuss your goals, evaluate your breast anatomy, and create a customised treatment plan. This involves discussing incision types, explaining risks, and what to expect during recovery.
  2. Aleolar Slit: After being given anaesthesia, an incision will be made, usually around the areola and vertically down from the areola to the breast crease. In some cases, a third incision along the breast crease may be necessary. The type and location of incisions will be discussed during your consultation.
  3. Breast Reshaping: The surgeon will lift and reshape the breast tissue to improve contour and firmness. If necessary, enlarged areolas can be reduced by excising skin at the perimeter.
  4. Excess Skin Removal: Sagging skin will be removed, and the remaining skin will be tightened. Because the skin is elastic, removing some of it allows the newly shaped breasts to be supported in their higher position.
  5. Skin Adhesion: The incisions are closed using sutures or skin adhesives. These could either be dissolvable sutures that will disappear on their own or sutures that need removal after a certain period.
  6. Initial Recovery: After the procedure is completed, you will be taken to a recovery room, where you will be closely monitored. You will be given a support bra to minimise swelling and provide support to the new breast shape.
  7. Follow-up Visits: Regular appointments with your surgeon will be scheduled to monitor the healing process, remove any non-dissolvable sutures, and address any concerns or questions you may have.
