What Is A Forehead Lift?

A forehead lift, also known as a brow lift, is a cosmetic procedure designed to reposition your forehead, diminish wrinkles, and restore a youthful appearance. If the effects of time and gravity have left your forehead with a serious, angry, or tired appearance, a permanent brow lift could be the solution you seek.

Why Choose Forehead Lift?

  • Restores Facial Harmony: The lifting of the forehead skin can bring about a more balanced and youthful facial profile that complements other facial features.
  • Reduction of Wrinkles: The procedure can significantly minimise the creases across the forehead as well as those that occur high on the bridge of the nose.

The Forehead Lift Procedure

  1. Preoperative Consultation: A thorough consultation is conducted with our experienced surgeons before the surgery. This involves discussing the type of anaesthesia and procedure that best suits your needs, ensuring a pain-free and comfortable experience. The options are either general anaesthesia or sedation. You may choose any of the following techniques.

Endoscopic Technique

  1. Initial Incisions: The surgeon strategically makes approximately five diminutive incisions concealed behind the hairline.
  2. Endoscopic Insertion: An endoscope, a slender instrument outfitted with a light and camera, is introduced through these incisions, along with other specialised surgical tools.
  3. Muscle & Tissue Adjustment: Utilising the endoscope for visual guidance, the surgeon adeptly repositions muscles and other tissues beneath the skin to attenuate wrinkles and elevate the eyebrows, imparting a revitalised visage.

Brow Suspension Technique

  1. Brow and Hairline Incisions: For this alternative method, the surgeon will make two minuscule incisions within the brow area and another two behind the hairline, in alignment with the brow incisions.
  2. Suture Tunneling: A narrow tube is threaded beneath the skin, connecting the brow and hairline incisions. A suture is then run through this tube.
  3. Brow Repositioning: Employing the suture as a guide, the surgeon will lift and adjust the eyebrows, securing them at a height that offers a youthful appearance.
  4. Incision Sealing: For both approaches, the incisions are meticulously closed using sutures, adhesive material, or clips to minimise any visible scarring.
